Refunds, returns and consumer guarantees

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this policy limits or excludes those rights.
Goods must be of acceptable quality, be safe and durable, match their description and any sample or demonstration model, and be fit for any purpose that you made known to us before purchase. If goods fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or compensation, depending on the circumstances and whether the failure is major or minor.
For a major failure, you may reject the goods and choose a refund or replacement, or keep the goods and seek compensation for the reduction in value. For a minor failure, we may choose to repair, replace or refund the goods. If we cannot repair a minor failure within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to reject the goods and choose a refund or replacement.
Faulty, unsafe, damaged or incorrect goods
Please contact us at info@lightandwellnessco.com.au as soon as reasonably practicable if an item is faulty, unsafe, damaged in transit, materially different from its description or not what you ordered. Prompt notice helps us investigate with the carrier or supplier, but no stated notification period in this policy limits your rights under the ACL.
Please provide your order number, a description of the issue and, where reasonably possible, photographs or video showing the item, packaging and shipping label. Images help us assess the issue but are not an absolute condition of an ACL remedy. Do not dispose of the item unless we confirm that you may do so or disposal is reasonably necessary for safety.
Change-of-mind returns
We do not generally accept returns or exchanges where you change your mind, order the wrong item, find the item cheaper elsewhere or no longer want it, unless a product page or written offer from us expressly states otherwise. This is particularly important for ingestible, personal-care and hygiene-sensitive goods. This change-of-mind rule does not apply where goods fail to meet a consumer guarantee or another legal right applies.
How to make a claim
- Email info@lightandwellnessco.com.au with your order number and details of the issue.
- We may request reasonable proof of purchase and information needed to assess the claim.
- If a return is required, wait for our return instructions before sending the item.
We may inspect or arrange an assessment of returned goods. We will not refuse an otherwise valid claim merely because the original packaging has been opened or the product has been used where opening or reasonable use was necessary to discover the problem.
Return and delivery costs
Where goods fail to meet a consumer guarantee, we will bear reasonable return costs. Depending on the circumstances, we may provide a prepaid label, arrange collection or reimburse reasonable return postage. If an item is found not to have a problem covered by the ACL or this policy, you may be responsible for return or redelivery costs, provided we tell you before incurring them.
Refunds
Approved refunds will ordinarily be made to the original payment method unless we agree otherwise or the law requires another approach. We will process the refund within a reasonable time after approval. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to make the funds available.
Sale, clearance, promotional and gifted items remain covered by consumer guarantees. A gift recipient may be asked to provide reasonable proof of the transaction.
